Fitzhenry heads Wests Tigers recruits

Hull Kingston Rovers utility player Daniel Fitzhenry will be one of five recruits from engage Super League for Wests Tigers in 2010.

The 29-year-old full-back, winger or hooker, who joined Rovers from Wests two years ago, was released by the engage Super League club after scoring 19 tries in 53 appearances.

The Sydney club will also welcome back stand-off or loose forward Liam Fulton, who played 76 matches for them from 2003-08 before taking up a short-term deal with Huddersfield Giants and was a member of the Carnegie Challenge Cup final team at Wembley.

The Tigers’ other close-season acquisitions include Wigan Warriors’ 21-year-old loose forward Mark Flanagan, Bradford Bulls winger Tame Tupou and St Helens prop Jason Cayless.

Former Leeds Rhinos and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats second rower Gareth Ellis has just completed the first year of a three-year deal with the 2005 NRL champions.
