Hall tipped for England place

Leeds Rhinos winger Ryan Hall is widely expected to one of a number of new faces named in England’s 19 man squad for the Gillette Fusion International against France in Paris on 13 June.

Winger Hall, 21, a product of the Oulton Raiders club in Leeds, is the joint top try scorer in the engage Super League with 13 touchdowns and has impressed this season playing outside Rhinos team-mate Keith Senior.

Smith will name his squad, his first since last year’s World Cup, at a press conference on Wednesday lunchtime.

It is anticipated that Hall will be amongst a handful of debutants named in the squad that will be a blend of youth and experience and feature players from the majority of Super League sides.  Jamie Peacock is also likely to be named as captain.

Although the squad won’t be announced to the media until 12.00 noon and be broadcast live on Sky Sports News, visitors to www.englandrl.co.uk will be able to see who is in the squad from 11.30am.

Following the press conference the official England Rugby League site will also feature exclusive interviews with players and coaching staff.
