Wigan Warriors second row forward Gareth Hock has been ruled out of contention for Great Britain’s team to play France in the Frontline Test at Leeds on Friday.
The 23-year-old, who made an impressive Lions debut in last year’s Tri-Nations Series, missed his first Wigan match of the season, Friday’s 30-0 win over Catalan Dragons, with a shoulder injury and has failed to recover.
His absence leaves coach Tony Smith with a 22-strong squad to select from.
