Bradford Bulls full-back Michael Platt is facing a potential five-match ban after being cited for an alleged head butt and punch.
The former Salford City Reds and Castleford Tigers player was sin-binned for his part in a flare-up in the early stages of Bradford’s 28-18 defeat by Leeds Rhinos last Friday and has now been charged with a grade D offence, which carries a suspension of between two and five matches.
He will appear before the Rugby Football League’s disciplinary panel tomorrow, along with Hull FC’s Great Britain winger Gareth Raynor, who has been cited by the match review panel for an alleged reckless tackle during his side’s 30-14 defeat by Huddersfield Giants.
Hull Kingston Rovers full-back Ben Cockayne will not face a charge of alleged gouging during his side’s 40-16 defeat by Harlequins Rugby League because of inconclusive evidence.
