Another six budding referees have qualified as official 13 a-side match officials after a course was held in Gateshead.

The course – organised by the RFL – was run by RFL Match Officials Development Officer Peter Wharton.

“The newly qualified officials will have an opportunity to officiate over the coming weeks & months,” said Wharton.

“They can now put the skills and knowledge which they have acquired into practice.”
