Misconduct
The RFL take issues of on-field misconduct very seriously. All issues of on field misconduct are considered by the Match Review Panel, this includes incidents were players were dismissed, put on report or incidents which are picked up by Match Review Panel members.
The Match Review Panel is chaired by the RFL Compliance Manager who takes a formal minute of all incidents considered by the Match Review Panel. These minutes are available on the RFL website {details of how to access}
The Match Review Panel decides whether not a particular incident should be referred to the Operational Rules Tribunal. The RFL Operational Rules Tribunal meet every Tuesday (except Bank Holiday weekends where the meeting is moved to Wednesday) to hear any disciplinary cases that have been referred to them. Super League cases are heard the Tuesday following the incident, and Championship, Reserve and Academy cases are heard the week after.
For a detailed description of how the Match Review Panel and the Operational Rules Tribunal operate please see the RFL On Field Compliance and Sentencing Guidelines. {details of how to access}
The minutes of any cases referred to the Operational Rules Tribunal are available on the RFL website {details of how to access}
For information on the time table for the Operational Rules Tribunal Rota showing dates of hearings and the makeup of the Panel please see the Rota. Please note this is subject to change. {details of how to access}
