The Panel reviewed an incident which occurred in approximately the 72nd minute of the Match. You were sin binned following the incident by the match referee. In the Panel’s opinion you became involved in a confrontation with an opponent and threw punches in a violent manner. The Panel believed that this behaviour was serious misconduct, against the spirit of the game, and that your punches had the potential to cause injury. In accordance with the RFL’s On Field Sentencing Guidelines, the Panel consider that such offence is a Grade B offence (Strikes – Punching). If found to have committed the offence, again in accordance with the On Field Sentencing Guidelines, the normal suspension range for such offence is from a 1 to a 2 match suspension. In addition the Tribunal has the power to impose such fine as it considers reasonable. Under the RFL Disciplinary Guidelines you are not eligible to take an Early Guilty Plea due to a 1 match suspension you received on the 26th March 2012.
