Catalans Dragons coach Mick Potter is considering unleashing French international Jamal Fakir on Bradford Bulls at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium on Saturday.
The powerful 25-year-old second rower made just two substitute appearances last season after twice snapping his patella tendon but made a satisfactory comeback with feeder team UTC in the French championship last week.
"He’s in the 18 and I’ll make a late call on whether he plays," said Potter. "If he doesn’t play tomorrow, he will be ready for next week.
"Medically and physically, there is no reason why he can’t play; it’s just how he handles it mentally."
Bradford have hooker Terry Newton back from injury as they go in search of only their second win of the season.
