New England Rugby League website launched

A website dedicated to the England Rugby League team will launch today (Monday 16 June) to coincide with the unveiling of the official kit Tony Smith’s men will wear at this year’s Rugby League World Cup.

The site www.englandrl.co.uk is the first RFL website of its kind dedicated solely to an international rugby league side.

It contains everything supporters might want to know about the present national side, features regular blogs from coach Tony Smith and also includes a comprehensive statistics section which lists every player to have played for England or Great Britain.

Younger visitors are also catered for on the site as it includes a number of interactive games featuring the new England mascots of George and his pet Dragon.

Phil Williams, the RFL’s Marketing Manager, said: “This is a first for the England Rugby League side and I’m sure it will prove extremely popular with supporters.

“We want supporters to have great pride in their national side and this website will grow and develop as we approach the World Cup in October.”

In the build-up to the mid-season Gillette Fusion International against France in Toulouse, visitors to the site can also take part in a competition to win tickets to England’s final World Cup warm up game on 10 October.

Ten lucky winners can each win a pair of tickets to the game, by trying to predict the side England coach Tony Smith will select to play France.
