Prop forward Craig Huby, Castleford Tigers’ longest-serving player, has become the latest player to commit his future to the engage Super League club.

Huby, who does not turn 22 until next week, has agreed a three-year extension to his contact, which will keep him at the club at least until the end of the 2011 season.

Huby, who made his senior debut just weeks after his 17th birthday in 2003, made his 90th appearance at the Millennium Magic weekend, when the Tigers lost for the 11th time in 13 matches.

“We have had some disappointments this season but I feel that the club’s future is very bright and, as a local lad, I want to be part of it,” he said.
