Widnes missed the chance to claim top spot in the Co-operative Championship as they went down to Featherstone at the Chris Moyles Stadium.

The sides went in level at 16-16 at the break as Featherstone tries from Kyle Briggs, Jon Steel and Andy Kain were cancelled out by scores from Toa Kohe-Love, Paddy Flynn and Anthony Thackeray.

Thackeray and Flynn also crossed after the interval but a brace of touchdowns from Tom Saxton and a further score from Stuart Dickens saw the Yorkshire side home.
