Catalan Dragons continued their habit of coming from behind at home to Widnes to seal a convincing win over the Vikings in an 11-try Super League thriller.
Widnes contributed well and deserved more from the game - but they failed to score a point in the second half as Leon Pryce dominated the game for the hosts.
The visitors raced into an early 10-point lead as they scored through Patrick Ah Van and Dave Allen. Ah Van duly converted Allen's try as the Vikings looked great value for their early advantage.
The Dragons hit back though and within five minutes of Widnes scoring their second try, the home side had surged ahead.
Pryce took centre stage to create two breakthroughs in as many minutes through Thomas Bosc, pouncing on Rhys Hanbury's mistake, and Steve Menzies, after superb work by Daryl Millard, Bosc, Pryce and Louis Anderson.
Bosc converted both tries to take the score to 12-10.
Widnes hit back with Hanbury and Willie Isa combining to send in Ah Van for his second of the night in the right corner.
Ah Van missed the conversion from his own score to make the half-time score 14-12 to the visitors.
The whole shape of the game altered after the interval, though, as Catalan came out in inspired form.
Pouring forward with intensity and precision, they scored three tries in the opening nine minutes of the second period to seal their success with an unexpected flourish.
All three were created by Pryce and Bosc, the French international revelling in his new position at full-back.
The tries came in three-minute intervals from Anderson, substitute Olivier Elima and Damien Blanch as Widnes were carved open.
Bosc extended the pain by converting all three to leave the score at 30-14 and well out of Widnes' reach.
William Barthau further extended the home side's lead with a magnificent solo effort in the 58th minute, beating four hapless Widnes defenders to score on the left flank.
He needed video confirmation before being awarded the try but there was no questioning Bosc's clinical conversion.
A seventh Catalan touchdown arrived when Mathias Pala got in on the act, crossing with 11 minutes to go, and there was still time for a final try - Zeb Taia completing the away side's misery to round off the scoring.
