After three weeks of the Rugby League 9s tournament, Wigan Warriors and Castleford Tigers remain undefeated as they continued their winning run in the penultimate round of fixtures on Tuesday night.

The Warriors and Tigers have now played nine games each in the competition and have been victorious in all their games, ensuring that both teams sit at the top of their respective West and East league tables.

Featherstone Rovers, one of this week’s hosts, had a disappointing evening losing all three of their matches against Leeds Rhinos, Hull Kingston Rovers and Castleford Tigers. The Rhinos managed two victories and Hull KR finished with one.

The poor form continued for host clubs as Halifax also lost all three of their matches played at The Shay on Tuesday, meaning the side are yet to win any matches in the 9s competition.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats secured their second-placed spot on the East league table following three wins this week.

Hull FC managed two victories and Bradford Bulls came away with one.

It was Salford City Reds’ turn to host a round at The Willows and the home side won two out of their three matches. Cumbria continued their success in the 9s with two more victories to place them third in the West league table. The British Police came up with their first win in the 9s competition this week against Huddersfield Giants, who also won one match on Tuesday.

Wigan Warriors hosted Warrington Wolves, St Helens and Widnes Vikings at The Co-operative Community Stadium, Wigan. While the Warriors won all three of their games, Warrington managed two victories and Widnes had success in one match. St Helens were defeated in all three of their matches.
