Warriors and Tigers impress in Rugby League 9s

Wigan Warriors and Castleford Tigers impressed in the opening round of the Rugby League 9s last night with both teams winning all three of their fixtures.
Castleford beat Hull KR, Hull FC and Bradford Bulls in the festival at Craven Park in front of over 1,000 spectators. There were also two wins for Hull KR and one win for Bradford at this event.
The other east conference festival took place at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium in Wakefield and saw Leeds, Wakefield and Featherstone all win two games each.
Wigan Warriors triumphed over Widnes, Salford and Huddersfield Giants at the west conference festival in Huddersfield. Widnes picked up two victories and Salford one.
Meanwhile in the final opening festival at Derwent Park in Workington Cumbria chalked up the result of the night beating Warrington Wolves 8-0 to add to their victory over British Police. There were also two wins each for St Helens and Warrington Wolves.
