Thomas suffers broken arm

Welsh dual international Gareth Thomas broke his left arm during Crusaders RL’s 38-10 defeat by Hull KR yesterday, the player has confirmed on Twitter.
The veteran centre, who recently signed a new contract for 2012, will be sidelined for two months but has not given up hope of coming back in time for the Crusaders’ last match of the Engage Super League season at Wigan Warriors on September 9.
“With a bit of PMA (positive mental attitude), I can maybe catch the last game of the season season,” he tweeted. “Always best to have a target.”
Crusaders and Wales coach Iestyn Harris will be hoping Thomas will be fully recovered in time for Wales’ Four Nations campaign, which gets under way against England on October 29.
Meanwhile, Harris has confirmed that the seven players suspended by Crusaders for a breach of club discipline will resume training tomorrow.
