A lot was at stake in the second Semi Finals in the Year 11 Boys competition.

A lot was at stake in the second Semi Finals in the Year 11 Boys competition. with both teams fully aware this could be the last time they represent their schools in a major schools competition.

With Honley anxiously waiting to see who they face in the final the game got off to a good start with Sam Rotherham giving St Edmunds Arrowsmith the lead early.

Hooker Adam Peet missed the conversion.

St Edmunds Arrowsmith showed some good defensive work to keep Cwm Rhymni away from scoring before another try by Sam Rotherham gave St Edmunds an eight point lead with the conversion not been scored again.

Cwm Rhymnii showed some fight with Neil Channon giving them their first try of the game.

The winds proved to be difficult on the day as yet another conversion was missed.

St Edmunds Scrum Half Oliver Gildart put his name on the scoring board with a try minutes Just before half time and Adam Peet made no mistake in scoring the conversion.

The teams were battling against some fierce winds on the day however that didn’t stop St Edmunds from making their fourth try of the game at the hands of Joe Collins.

Stand out player for St Edmunds, Sam Rotherham managed to make it a hatrick of tries for him.

A second Conversion from Adam Peet saw him finding his feet with the battling winds.

The game all but won from here. Cwm Ryhmni showed some battle with a try from Elliot Keep towards the end, Callum O’conner converting.

St Edmunds finished on top and guaranteed their place in the Finals by finishing the game with a try from Lewis Barratt and Adam Peet managed to accomplish his Hat trick of conversions.
