Qualify as a Masters Referee

RFL Match Officials Development Officer Steve Taylor is running a Masters Match Officials Course open to all at Siddal RLFC on February 19 between 10am and 1.30pm.
The course will be split into two sections firstly an indoor session on laws and application followed by an outdoor practical session (weather permitting)
Masters is a strictly social version of the sport for players over 35 years of age with modified rules to cater for the older player and the emphasis on enjoyment and participation.
An increase in the qualified Masters referees is a vital part of the successful growth of Masters. There are no winners, no champions and no cup finals.
Masters is all about the spirit of the game and encouraging everyone to remain active and continue playing Rugby League which brings about a whole host of health benefits.
The RFL are looking for retired referees, former players and current Master players to qualify as Masters Match Officials and enable the increasing number of matches to take place in the true spirit of Masters.
Each Masters team is also required to have a minimum of one qualified Masters referee who is central in ensuring that the Masters game is played in the correct spirit.
If you would like to take the course please contact Steve Taylor on 07775 022794 or steve.taylor@rfl.uk.com
