McDermott suspended for anti-doping breach
A National Anti-Doping Panel has suspended Brett McDermott for two years after he was found guilty of breaching the RFL’s anti-doping regulations.
McDermott, who was a player registered with Barrow Raiders, was found to have provided a sample containing the Prohibited Substances Drostanolone (which was itself detected, as was a Drostanolone metabolite) and 19-Norandrosterone, which are Anabolic agents.
The National Anti-Doping Panel have found him guilty of an anti-doping rule violation and imposed a two-year period of ineligibility.
McDermott’s suspension commenced from March 24, 2011 which is the day his provisional suspension commenced.
