Junior Match Officials set off on Wembley trail

Junior Match Officials who have been actively involved in local and regional Carnegie Champion Schools were last week given the opportunity to officiate in the National stages of the tournament.
Thirteen officials from Yorkshire and the North West regions took charge of the National Boys Finals at Years 7, 8 and 9 which were played at Oulton ARLFC.
All these Match Officials are now on the national Match Officials pathway and as a result will be in contention for the 7 places up for grabs at the Carnegie Champion Schools National Finals in London in August.
Steve Taylor, Match Official Development Officer said: “What a superb opportunity for young Match Officials to be a part of one of the biggest knock out competitions and given the chance to officiate at the Carnegie Challenge Cup weekend.”
