Halton Farnsworth Masters will take on the Great Britain Rugby League All Stars on Saturday May 14 at Wilmere Lane to raise money for the Life for A Kid Foundation (Alex Appeal).

The unbeaten Great Britain Rugby League All Stars side will be captained by Paul Newlove and feature such players as Andy Gregory, Hugh Waddell, Mike Wainright, Gary Connolly, Steve Hampson and Anthony Sullivan.

Halton Farnworth Hornets Masters Select will take on this star studded side to raise money for a 3 year old Alex Hickey whose family need £40,000 to take him to the USA for a life changing procedure and therapy.

Alex suffers from a condition called Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy and with help his family can take him to Missouri for specialist treatment.

The game will be two handed touch and pass and be played over 2 x 30 minutes with the main official being ex professional referee Colin Morris.

Prior to the main event Halton Ladies will be in action in the Summer Conference and also several Junior teams will be playing, so why not come along and have a fantastic day out.

There will also be some after match presentations at Farnworth Sports and Social Club and we will be holding a question and answer session with some of the GB All Star Players.
