As part of the RFL’s celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8 SLTV caught up with female Match Official Sarah Bennison to talk about her experiences as both a Match Official and Level 2 coach in Rugby League.

Sarah first become involved in the sport in September 2006 taking the 13-a-side Match Official course at community club Shaw Cross and hasn’t looked back since.

Her career highlights include officiating at a Sky Sports televised Championship fixture and her ambition is to be a Super League Touch Judge.
