Charity Masters game to get 2011 season underway

Sunday the 6th March will see the first Masters event of 2011 kick off in West Cumbria.
The event will be held at Wath Brow Hornets with a kick off of 2:00pm. Everyone over the age of 35 is welcome to come along and give Masters Rugby a go; there will be no set teams for the day, they will just be organised with the players that turn up. Unless a club would like to enter a full team then they can feel free to do so.
The event is to raise money for the tragic Keswick bus crash that shook Cumbria in May last year, therefore the more support on the day the better.
The event was organised after the Masters Launch that took place at the start of February. It has been agreed that there will be 3 festival dates leading up to a 6 week block of over 35’s touch rugby to be held in the summer, then followed by a further three festivals towards the back end of the season.
If you are deciding whether or not masters rugby is for you then there is only one way to find out....come along and give it a go.
It is a much more laid back version of the contact game, with most of the physical/competitive side of things taken out, especially with the older ages of the scale.
