Leeds Rhinos scrum-half Rob Burrow has been charged with making dangerous contact with Wigan Warriors forward Ryan Hoffman.

Leeds Rhinos scrum-half Rob Burrow, at 5ft 5in the smallest player in Engage Super League, has been charged with making dangerous contact with Wigan Warriors’ 6ft 4in forward Ryan Hoffman.

Burrow will appear before the Rugby Football League’s disciplinary committee tomorrow on a grade B offence of “using his body to forcefully twist, bend or apply pressure to the limb or limbs of an opposing player in a way that involves an unacceptable risk of injury”.

Burrow was cited by the RFL’s match review panel, which has also charged Wigan prop Andy Coley with a grade A offence running in and punching during the same match, Leeds’ 26-24 defeat at the DW Stadium last Friday.

Castleford Tigers’ Jake Emmitt and Warrington Wolves’ Michael Cooper have both been charged with fighting during the Wolves’ 48-18 victory at the PROBIZ Coliseum on Friday.

Catalan Dragons prop David Ferriol is facing a ban of up to three matches after being charged with a grade C offence following his dismissal at Bradford Bulls on Saturday.

The France international is accused of making contact with the head or neck of Bradford second rower James Donaldson early in the second half of his side’s 34-28 win.

Crusaders RL second rower Hep Cahill has been charged with a late tackle on Huddersfield Giants stand-off Kevin Brown in last minute of his side’s 40-12 defeat at the Shay yesterday.

The match review panel also issued two formal cautions to Cahill’s team-mate Jason Chan for separate offences in that match.
