Brooks ready for Rovers return
Hull Kingston Rovers will give 20-year-old scrum-half Matty Brooks his first appearance of the season in Saturday's Carnegie Challenge Cup fourth-round tie at Warrington Wolves.
Brooks, who made four appearances for Rovers while on loan from Bradford Bulls last season, has been chosen by coach Justin Morgan to deputise for injured skipper James Webster.
"I've got big boots to fill but I'm confident I can do a job," Brooks said.
"Hopefully, I can make it difficult for Justin when James is back fit again."
Scott Murrell, who moved to scrum-half for Friday's 42-14 engage Super League defeat at St Helens, will revert to stand-off.
Morgan will also have to make changes to his pack following the loss of second rower Iain Morrison, who is set to be out for up to 10 weeks after fracturing his cheekbone and breaking his jaw at Knowsley Road.
Warrington will also be without skipper and scrum-half Lee Briers, who has failed to recover from a hamstring injury, while centre Paul Johnson is out with a broken finger.
