Hindmarsh to leave Dragons
Catalans Dragons have agreed to release Ian Hindmarsh from his contract at the end of the season.
Australian second-rower Hindmarsh, who had originally been contracted to the club until the end of 2008, expressed a desire to return to his home country for personal reasons.
Hindmarsh has played an integral role in the Dragons' debut season in the engage Super League.
Catalans coach Mick Potter said: ‚"Ian is a tough, courageous and consistent player. He has made a very positive impact on the team during his time here and naturally we are sad to see him leave.‚"
General manager Christophe Levy said: ‚"It is always disappointing to lose a player of Ian's calibre.
"However, when a player comes to the club requesting a release, particularly for matters other than those related to playing rugby league, we would not stand in his way.
‚"Ian leaves the club on very good terms and we wish him all the best for his future.‚"
