Official Match Report

Fev grounded by Eagles

Featherstone managed to secure what could prove to be a crucial Kingstone Press Championship bonus point in going down 40-28 at home to reigning champions Sheffield Eagles.

Former Rovers half-back Kyle Briggs was the tormentor-in-chief with a hat-trick of tries against his old team-mates as the Eagles secured a fifth straight win to ensure a top-six finish.

Misi Taulapapa, Quentin Laulu-Togagae and Dane Straugher scored Sheffield's other tries and Dominic Brambani kicked six goals.

Substitute Luke Teasdale scored two tries for Featherstone, with Andy Kain, Will Sharp and Chris Annakin getting their others and they now lie just a point clear of Doncaster in second place with a game to go.
