Agoro inspires Oldham win
Mo Agoro ran in a hat-trick of tries as Oldham kept the pressure on Kingstone Press Championship 1 leaders York with a 38-28 victory over London Skolars at the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium.
Adam Clay went over for an early try before a quick-fire brace from Agoro and a Lewis Palfrey goal saw Oldham race into a 14-0 lead early on before the hosts got on the board through a Will Lovell try, converted by Courtney Davies.
Patelisio Pelo converted his own try for the Skolars before a second of the afternoon from Lovell and a further Iliess Macani score, bettered by Davies, saw the Skolars take control and lead 22-14.
But a try moments before the half-time hooter from Clay, converted by Steve Roper, saw the sides go into the break all square.
Josh Crawley and Danny Langtree went over for the Roughyeds early in the second half, with Roper adding the extras to both tries as Oldham began to take control.
But London responded and Mufaro Mvududu crossed with Davies adding a third goal before Agoro's third try of the afternoon and Roper's fourth goal settled things in Oldham's favour.
