Hemel Stags 40-10 South Wales Scorpions
Easy for Stags
James Hill and Jimmy Morgan each scored a brace of tries as Hemel Stags eased to a 40-10 victory over Kingstone Press Championship 1 strugglers South Wales Scorpions at Pennine Way.
The Stags started strongly and tries from Matthew Tebb, Hill and Mathew Cook with a pair of Barry-John Swindells goals saw them take a 16-0 lead just 13 minutes into the game.
Swindells added his third goal to Morgan's first try in the 28th minute and Jy-Mel Coleman's try on the stroke of half time with another Swindells goal gave the Stags a half-time advantage of 28-0.
South Wales got on the scoreboard three minutes into the second half through Lloyd O'Connor's try, converted by Paul Emanuelli.
Kyle Scrivens went over for their second try 10 minutes later but that was as good as it got as tries from Hill and Morgan and another two goals for Swindells wrapped up victory for Hemel.
