Hulme pens new Vikings deal
Widnes Vikings winger Declan Hulme has a double reason to celebrate after signing a 12-month contract extension and graduating in sport and exercise science from Edge Hill University.
The 21-year-old made his First Utility Super League debut in the last match of last season and has scored four tries in four appearances so far this year while also playing on a dual registration with Workington and North Wales.
"It's been a great few days for me," Hulme said. "All the hard work has paid off both off and on the pitch. Studying for my BSc in sport and exercise science and my training with the first team has been tough but it's all worth it."
Widnes coach Denis Betts said: "Dec's a young player who is really developing in this environment. I think he's got a great future in the game."
