BRUT Fan of Pride 2014 launched
Super League stars Josh Charnley, Matty Smith and Alex Walmsley have joined supporters of Wigan Warriors and St Helens to help BRUT launch Fan of Pride, a nationwide search to find rugby league fans that Man Up for their sport and community.
The campaign - now in its second season - will run across all 14 Super League teams with each club crowning their very own Fan of Pride. They will then go forward to represent their club in the national competition, with the overall BRUT Fan of Pride winner announced in September.
BRUT aim to celebrate the Super League fan and each club’s community, highlighting the importance of the fans, the fantastic atmosphere that they create and the role they play in their local area.
Each club is supporting Fan of Pride through a player ambassador. These include Wigan Warriors’ try-machine, Josh Charnley, St Helens legend, Paul Wellens and Salford Red Devils’ man-mountain, Adrian Morley.
Anyone can be entered for Fan of Pride at www.brutformen.co.uk/superleague, with nominations closing at midnight on 9th June. A panel of judges from each Super League club will then select a shortlist of three entries per team to be put to a public online vote.
Wigan Warriors’ Josh Charnley said: “I’m delighted to be supporting Fan of Pride. As someone who’s come through the ranks at Wigan I really appreciate the vital role the fans play at the club and I think it’s great that BRUT are once again celebrating them through Fan of Pride.”

Entries close at midnight on the 9th June 2014.
The overall national BRUT Fan of Pride 2014 will be announced and awarded in September, and will win £5,000 for their Super League clubs’ community foundation, two 2015 season tickets to their Super League club, an invitation to the Man of Steel awards, a signed jersey from the Super League club and some fantastic BRUT product.
