Masoe boost for Saints
Samoan heavyweight Mose Masoe is set to make his eagerly-awaited First Utility Super League debut for St Helens against Hull KR at Langtree Park on Friday night.
The 24-year-old former Penrith prop, who is 6ft 6in and weighs 20st 4lb, missed the start of the season after undergoing surgery on an ankle he damaged playing in the 2013 World Cup.
"Mose has trained well and is in our 19-man squad," said Saints coach Nathan Brown. "The fans have high hopes for him and Mose should get a lot of confidence from that.
"He is a mature player for his age and the minute he does start playing he will contribute well and will get better and better."
Brown also has stand-off Gary Wheeler available after missing last week's win over Salford Red Devils with a dead leg, as they look to make it four wins in a row.
Hull KR have prop forwards Michael Weyman and Justin Poore back from suspension while Jamie Langley has recovered from concussion, but front rower Jonny Walker is facing a lengthy lay-off with a knee injury.
