London Broncos could be saved from the threat of administration after reporting talks over their future have reached a "positive stage".

The troubled Super League club had announced their intention to appoint administrators if a deal could not be struck to safeguard their future.

There had been a deadline of today but, due to the potential closeness of an agreement, the club will now have an additional 10 business days to work on a rescue package with interested parties.

A statement issued on behalf of the club read: "Negotiations to cement a permanent home for London Broncos and fulfil next season's fixtures are at a positive stage.

"The club will be instructing its lawyers to file a further Notice of Intention to Appoint Administrators at Court, which shall be effective for 10 business days.

"During this time the club are hopeful that a deal can be concluded in order to ensure the club's future."
