Oldham RLFC 22-23 Rochdale Hornets
Crook breaks Oldham hearts
Paul Crook's last-minute drop-goal sent Rochdale Hornets through to the Kingstone Press Championship 1 play-off final at Leigh Sports Village after a 23-22 victory over Oldham.
Mo Agoro went over four minutes from time for the Roughyeds and Lewis Palfrey converted to haul Oldham level but Crook's last-gasp effort means Oldham will play London Skolars next week for a chance to gain revenge.
John Ford went over for the hosts in the eighth minute and Palfrey added the extras but it was the Hornets who were ahead at the break as tries from Warren Thompson and Jordan Case and three goals from Crook gave them a 14-6 lead.
Kenny Hughes went over for Oldham, with Palfrey converting, as they got themselves back into the game two minutes into the second half.
But Rochdale responded and Crook tagged on another goal before he added the conversion to Wayne English's try to put the Hornets into a comfortable 22-12 lead.
Back came Oldham and a pair of tries from Agoro and Palfrey's goal brought the sides level before Crook decided things.
