Schools board seeks new member
An opportunity has arisen for a Yorkshire schools representative member to take a place on the English Schools Rugby League board.
The RFL English Schools Rugby League Board (ESRL) is a board appointed by and responsible to the RFL Community Board to act as custodians of Schools Rugby League, helping to shape and develop policy by advising the RFL Community Board and RFL Staff.
The Board provide advice, guidance and direction on:
• The nature and format of rugby league competition offer for Schools
• The challenges and issues that all involved in Schools Rugby League could potentially face within the game; and
• The production and content of Schools Rugby League
The Yorkshire schools representative will act as an ambassador for the schools sector representing the thoughts, feedback and concerns from the school teams and players as well as providing insight and policy from a schools perspective.
The representative will be required to attend quarterly daytime meetings, whilst the position is a voluntary role that is open to all colleagues within the Yorkshire schools sector.
Anyone interested in applying should complete the NOMINATION FORM and return it via e-mail to tracey.o’firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Wednesday September 25.
All nominations will be passed to the board where a vote will be taken at the ESRL board meeting on Wednesday October 2.
All nominees will be notified of the result of the vote after the meeting.
