Rochdale Hornets 54-12 Oxford RLFC
Nine-try Rochdale thump Oxford
Rochdale scored 34 unanswered points in the second half as they ran in nine tries during a 54-12 rout of Oxford in the Kingstone Press Championship 1.
Two Daniel Davies tries, which bookended a try and three goals from Paul Crook, had given the hosts a 20-12 advantage at the interval.
John Clough and John Bland had crossed during the first period to keep Oxford in the hunt but they failed to trouble the scoreboard after the break.
Instead Rochdale took the game away from their opponents with Dave Hull adding a brace of tries while Alex McClurg, Martin Waring, John Cookson and Wayne English also went over. Crook kept up his impressive form with the boot, converting five of the six scores.
