Former Bradford Bulls captain Robbie Hunter-Paul is returning to his former club as deputy director.

Former Bradford Bulls captain Robbie Hunter-Paul is returning to his former club as deputy director, in a bid to help restore their former glory.

Hunter-Paul, who won every honour in the game during his 12-year spell at Odsal from 1994 to 2005, left his role as Huddersfield Giants business development manager yesterday and will take up a similar role at his former club.

The former New Zealand international, 37, will start his new job, working alongside owner Omar Khan and co-chairman Gerry Sutcliffe, on Monday, July 8.

"The Bulls have been such a big part of my life and I'm so deeply entwined with them," Hunter-Paul said.

"Omar and Gerry's vision is to create a brand new legacy with their imprint on it and to take that foundation of success and grow it.

"They believe I can play a massive part helping to deliver that and I believe I can as well."

Khan said: "I am delighted that Robbie Hunter-Paul is returning to the club as deputy director.

"Robbie is an iconic figure in the city of Bradford and to have him return to the club, where he was a massive part of its success, will bring great benefits.

"I have personally known Robbie for almost 20 years and I wish him every success in his role at the club."
