Skee inspires Skolars success

Dylan Skee scored a try and added six goals to lead London Skolars to a 32-16 Kingstone Press Championship 1 victory over high-flying Rochdale.

Skolars made a bright start and raced into a 10-0 lead as James Anthony and Skee went over - with Skee adding the extras to his own score.

But the Hornets responded and Jordan Case helped himself to pair of tries, Paul Crook converting the first, to bring the scores level halfway through the opening half.

Martyn Smith then crossed in the final minute before the break and Skee added the goal to send the Skolars into the interval with a 16-10 advantage.

Skee added a goal and Andy McLean went over for a converted try as London stretched their advantage to 24-10.

But Rochdale were not about to roll over and Martin Waring's try got them back into the game.

That was as good as it got though as Skee added a penalty and then converted Joe Price's last-minute score to wrap up victory.
