Oxford RLFC 28-42 Rochdale Hornets
Hornets sting Oxford
Rochdale Hornets scored 30 second-half points to overturn a half-time deficit and beat Oxford 42-28 in their Kingstone Press Championship 1 contest.
The hosts broke the deadlock with Ian Burch's try, converted by Jonny Leather, only to see the Hornets take the lead through tries from Dave Hull and Joe Greenwood, both of which were converted by Paul Crook.
However, Oxford would hold a 22-12 advantage at the interval as Valu Bentley, Sean Morris and Shaun Robinson all crossed, Leather adding extras to two of the three scores.
Oliver Johnson's try increased their lead four minutes into the second half, but Oxford would not score again as the Hornets ran riot.
Warren Thompson claimed a brace of tries and Hull also grabbed his second try while Michael Ratu and Jordan Case went over. Crook was in imperious form with the boot, converting each of the five second-half scores.
