Seven Super League players charged
Seven Super League players have been charged with committing disciplinary offences during the fifth round of the Tetley’s Challenge Cup last weekend.
Gareth Hock, Corey Paterson and Danny McGuire will all appear before the RFL Disciplinary Panel tomorrow (Tuesday May 14) after they were charged with committing offences during the fifth round.
Widnes Vikings forward Hock has been charged with a Grade D offence of making deliberate physical contact with the referee in the 36th minute of their game against Workington Town on Sunday May 12.
Hull KR’s Corey Paterson has been charged with committing a Grade D reckless striking offence on Blake Green of Wigan Warriors in the 10th minute of their fifth round tie.
McGuire of Leeds Rhinos has been charged with a Grade A punching offence from the 44th minute of their game against Huddersfield Giants on Saturday May 11.
Huddersfield duo Joe Wardle and Leroy Cudjoe have also been charged with committing offences during the same game.
Wardle has been charged with a Grade C offence of sustained punching in the 61st minute while Cudjoe has been charged with Grade A punching in the 44th minute. Both players have until 11.00am tomorrow (May 14) to submit Early Guilty Pleas in relation to the offences.
London Broncos forward Antonio Kaufusi has been charged with a Grade C reckless strike on James Donaldson of Bradford Bulls in the 15th minute of their game on Friday May 10, while Salford City Reds player Jordan James has been charged with Grade B dangerous contact on Brett Hodgson of Warrington Wolves in the 42nd minute of their game on Sunday.
Both players have until 11.00am tomorrow to submit an Early Guilty Plea in relation to their charges.
