Rochdale Hornets 32-24 London Skolars
Dale on the rise
Rochdale climbed to sixth spot in the Kingstone Press Championship 1 table thanks to a 32-24 victory over London Skolars at Spotland.
The Hornets made a quick start as tries from Dave Llewellyn and Chris Baines, both converted by Paul Crook, saw them move 12-0 up after 13 minutes.
The Skolars got themselves back into the game as Will Lovell went over the whitewash but further tries from Joe Greenwood and Dom Speakman put Rochdale comfortably 24-6 up.
But the Skolars didn't throw in the towel and a pair of tries from Smokie Junor, both converted by Dylan Skee, got them well and truly back into the game.
Dave Hull crashed over to put the Hornets further ahead but back came London again through a Erjon Dollapi try and Skee's fourth goal.
Gareth Langley's third goal gave Rochdale a little more breathing space and they held on for victory.
