Smith set to miss out
Wigan Warriors coach Shaun Wane is resigned to being without scrum-half Matty Smith for the first time this year for Sunday's Tetley's Challenge Cup-tie fifth-round at Hull KR.
Smith, one of only three-ever presents for the Warriors this season, is struggling to overcome a shoulder injury sustained in last Friday's 46-6 Super League win over Salford City Reds.
"Matty hasn't trained today so it is unlikely he will be ready for the weekend but we will wait and see," Wane said.
"If he doesn't play, I have a few options up my sleeve, including Sam Powell and Sean O'Loughlin playing there. It is not 100% yet that Matty won't play but it is unlikely.
"Nothing will change if Matty doesn't make it, our structures stay the same."
