Briers suffers setback
Warrington Wolves stand-off Lee Briers' comeback from a neck injury has been put on hold after he tore a calf muscle in training.
The former Wales international missed the last 10 rounds of Super League after hurting his neck at Wigan in February but was preparing to make his return in yesterday's Tetley's Challenge Cup fourth-round tie at Keighley.
However, a scan has revealed a small tear in his calf and Warrington coach Tony Smith said Briers will not be fit for Sunday's home game against Bradford Bulls.
"He was trying to cram a lot of training into a short period of time after he got the all-clear on his neck," Smith said.
"The plan had been to get him back for the match against Keighley but because he'd missed so much training it probably took its toll on him.
"I'm hoping he'll be back in the next two to three games."
