Second postponement for Wakefield-Leeds
The Super League clash between Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and Leeds Rhinos will be played at a later date after bad weather once again forced a postponement.
Wakefield had been set to host the defending champions on Friday night, only for the game to be switched to today due to snow.
Despite the efforts of volunteers helping to clear the pitch at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium, conditions around the ground were unfortunately deemed unsafe this morning, meaning a new date will need to be sought for the fixture.
A statement on Wakefield’s website read: “Supporters who have purchased tickets are advised that their ticket will remain valid for the new date.
“However, they can exchange their ticket for another game or claim a refund should they not be able to make the rearranged fixture.”
