15K and counting with one week to Derby Day
With one the biggest derbys in rugby league now just a week away, more than 15,000 tickets have already been sold for Hull FC versus Hull KR at the KC Stadium, with the East and South Stands nearing capacity.
The two great rivals will collide in Super League for their traditional Good Friday match and supporters on both sides of the River Hull have been snapping up their tickets this week as derby fever continues to sweep across East Yorkshire.
Ticket sales have now passed the 15,000 milestone and show no signs of slowing down, with the lower bowl of the KC Stadium filling up fast for a contest that will see the Black and Whites and the Red and Whites go head-to-head in their first competitive clash of the season.
It means fans looking to come with friends and families to one of the biggest games of 2013 are urged to buy their seats as soon as possible to ensure they can all sit together, particularly in the East and South Stands of the ground which are now nearing capacity.
The club is yet to decide whether to open the Upper West Stand for the fixture with fans therefore advised to snap up their tickets as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
Tickets are on sale from the KC Stadium ticket office or by calling 01482 505 600, with some special offers available to Black and Whites supporters for the game.
This includes the South Stand where every seat costs less than £20 and the family area of the West Stand, where two adults and two children can watch the game for just £50 in a section of the ground also featuring face painters, balloon modellers and visits from the players.
Better still, savings of up to 25 per cent are available with Derby Double Up – the unique offer from the Black and Whites that will see fans buying a ticket for the derby able to watch the game against Catalan Dragons the following week for a discounted price.
