Haven back to winning ways

Whitehaven responded to last week's heavy defeat to Hunslet by returning home from Barrow with a 30-20 Kingstone Press Championship victory.

James Newton crossed for a brace of tries, while their were also four-pointers for Scott McAvoy, Lee Doran, Craig Calvert and Jessie Joe Parker. Jamie Rooney added three goals.

Liam Harrison scored two fo Barrow's four tries and Sean Casey added two goals to his try. Kurt Haggerty also went over.
