Halifax hit top spot

Sam Barlow and Ryan Fieldhouse each claimed a brace of tries as Halifax went top of the Kingstone Press Championship table with a 38-6 win over Hunslet Hawks.

Halifax took advantage of Featherstone's defeat to Sheffield on Thursday evening to go a point clear as Craig Ashall, Rikki Sheriffe and Anthony Thackeray also crossed, with Lee Patterson adding five goals.

Andrew Yates went over for the Hawks' solitary try 12 minutes from time and David March added the extras.
