Salford extend Griffin deal
Salford City Reds have gained the services of Leeds Rhinos prop forward Darrell Griffin for another month.
The City Reds have put a hold on any further recruitment until the appointment of a new coach but were keen to keep hold of the 31-year-old Griffin, who has played in their last three matches.
Griffin’s loan spell was due to end after tomorrow’s home game against Warrington Wolves but the champions have agreed to Salford’s request to extend it.
“Griff has been good for us,” said Salford interim coach Alan Hunte. “He’s given us a bit of presence up front. He’s definitely added some value to the squad.”
