Catalan Dragons are to give a week’s trial to rugby union forward Marc Baget.

The 28-year-old Bayonne number eight, formerly with Biarritz, is said to be considering a switch of codes and trained with the Super League club for the first time this morning.

“I met Marc for the first time two or three years ago and he has always been interested by our sport,” said Catalan chairman Bernard Guasch.

“He wanted to try his hand and we are pleased to welcome him in our squad for a trial week.”
