Patterson pivotal in Halifax win

Lee Patterson scored a try and added five goals as Halifax kept the pressure on Kingstone Press Championship leaders Featherstone with a 34-22 win over Swinton Lions.

Robert Worrincy, Sam Barlow, Ryan Fieldhouse, Ben Heaton and Anthony Thackeray also went over for Halifax.

Ryan Shaw scored a try and three goals for the Lions with Martin Ainscough, Ian Watson and Jack Morrison claiming their other scores.
