Dean pens new Vikings deal

Widnes centre Chris Dean has signed a new contract which will keep him at the Vikings until the end of 2015.
The 25-year-old joined the Vikings for a third spell from Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in time for their return to Super League in 2012 and has appeared in three of their four matches so far this season.
Widnes coach Denis Betts said: “Chris is now starting to realise his potential. He’s big, quick and skilful and has so much talent, it’s actually quite scary.
“He is a great bloke to have around the place and he’s a confident and enthusiastic player who can really contribute to the success of this club.”
Dean said: “Denis Betts showed a lot of faith in me by bringing me to the club for a third spell and giving me a chance in his team which I can’t thank him enough for.
“He’s brought a lot of confidence back into my game and I’m really enjoying my rugby.”
